furniture and accessories, instruments and tools,
as well as transportation and installations.
Our approach to things is both symbolic and inter-
active. Designing means questioning social, cultural
and communicative aspects, challenging economic and
technological status quo, to provide appropriate
forms
in appearance and behaviour.

So far known for puristic folding furniture, AMBIVALENZ is opening a sortiment of magnetic accessoiries.
We designed this family for various applications in bathroom and kitchen.
_JUL15 UNIVERSAL
After a long phase of development finaly barrier-free bench UNIVERSAL goes into die-cast production. It will be distributed by MHB.
_APR15 ORGANIC GLAMOUR
We developed together with Marius Farwig a Shopsystem for Locations of the OrganicGlamourFoodCompany .
Their create contemporary plant based food with seasonal specials. Besides fresh made food their offer a sortiment of extraordinary deli products to take home.
_NOV14 STREET FOOD AWARD
at wonderful culinaric festival StadtLandFood our designwork for Pie-Manufacture HelloGoodPie recieved the award for best design and branding.

Now they are opening a new shop, for which we developed the interior.

Concrete-Coffeetable VALE is nominated in competition for materialinnovation STAGED.
It will be exhibited at Room+Style from 10.-12.January.
_NOV13 Universal
MHB takes 2 new barrier-free benches in their productline. MEDISIT
and UNIVERSAL are produced in die casting and are designed for public as well as interior spaces.
_OKT13 Designpreis Brandenburg
Jury had nominated our public seating for Designpreis Brandenburg nominiert. The bench takes its place in an exhibition in Potsdam next to other outstanding products from companys like Bombardier, MAWA-Licht und Rejon. We keep fingers crossed for an award.
_JUL13 DMY-NAchtschicht
Within the scope of the DMY-Festival we developed together with CNC-Prototypen and BETONWARE a public seating installation at subwaystation Prinzenstrasse in CNC-lightweigth construction Leichtbau and concrete.
_FEB13 in production
MHB-Fürstenwalde takes a barrier-free benchsystem into production after 2 years of development.First public installations in Priem at Chiemsee and in Müncheberg.
_JUN12 barrier-free bench
At Altenmesse-Hannover our prototype of barrier-free public seating system was presented and got very positive feedback.
_OKT11 bicyclecaps
For bicyclemanufacture Cikago Bude we I developed becoming bikecaps and a remarkable signet.On top of that, a big Brother in form of a sunshade was designed for an unique trade-fair appearance.

This bin is presenting a trashbag with open gesture, when ever you want to get rid of anything. Stepping into its middle bottom gets down, upper edges move towards each other. This way its possible to put a new trashbag quickly and easily. Taking away weight of foot both edges move outside and span the bag.

Common E-drums are abstract objects in resonance and it's sound space. I was developing an instrument to remedy these gaps, merging analogies of basic musical dynamics and bodily perception. Gestures and tactility of hitting are translated to auditive events within a consistent interactionsystem.
This extensive diploma project contains product concept and design as well as a functional prototype, a videoprototype and scientic paper.
This module is adaptive to diverse usage. Human factors, performance, sculpture, statics, handling, transport, technology, modularity and compatibility were essential aspects to be considered developing a full-fledged product.

MBK12 is an extrem flexible and dynamic system, which enables to build individual furniture. Together with MASCHRO GmbH we developed this mobular building kit, which consits of only a few basic components and a lot of add-on parts.
In countless colours, materials and textures you can dress your individual furniture.
Based on a few basic components you can build your unique ensemble and create personal style or functional units with several additional accessoires like charger, lamps, vases, etc.
Transformation is done easily, quick and toolfree.
Via MBK12-Configurator its possable to simulate and plan interiors.

For producer of bus stop shelter MHB i created a senior-focussed outdoor furniture. Development for this construction-kit was dealing with systemic and ergonomic aspects. This family of benches features a special bail, which is supporting approaching, sitting down and getting up. At the same time it is integrated into the whole figure without stigmatizing. The system is adapted for DeutscheBahn-Grid and working as well as a self-supporting bench.

Easy to assemble double-winged as a partition or one-winged for the wall.
Baseframe consists of side profiles and cross-member screwed together .
Boards are simply hanged in with a pivoting move.
A grid of slits allows to configure different boardhights.
The bevel of moulded wood boards and fitted form-locking milling of board endings and side profiles provide stability.

These growing chair and desk are supporting dynamic studying, because they are adjustable to different learningsituations and bodyhights.
A small board (like a Minidesk) , is usable seperately on other places and makes it easy to switch the learning environment.
Many adjustable Kidsfurniture looks bulky because of its construction.
These familiylike furniture are formal calm, effective constructed and show less technical details.
Made of moulded wood it integrates well to homelike atmosphere.
Upholstery is an option too. With its colorful friendliness it suits well to rooms for kids and teenagers.

Ths draft uses outstanding static features of bamboo und shows an sustainable alternative to standard profiles.
By its great formal stability,load capacity and tensile ductility it can compete with usual metalprofiles or wooden beam.
Together with lightweight boards developed by CONBOU these profiles supply a modulare system.
Wrought material is produced efficiently out of cleaved, glued und milled bamboo canes. The set up of this shelf is comfortable and easy to adapt.

This system is based on 3 different angled joints. Thes knots consist of half rattanprofiles, which merge and create a framestructure.
Out of this minimalistic construction principle an combined with wooden surfaces a whole furniture family was declined. Disjointed its efficiantly transportable and easily modular combined. |

The vase was developed with a focus on material and aestetics of the production process. Sensitivity of the craftsman and fragility of the material should meet each other. Concrete is panned in a balloon. The process needs to be done with a sensitive and cautious technique. Almost meditatively, the craftsman has to feel into the object to shape it completly. The bottom has to be stronger than the top of the egg. Finally the shell will be broken carefully and its contour gets shaped.
Blind people have a destinctive sense for balancing and touching and are able to communicate their special skills by that performance. The whole act is taking place in front of the eyes of the customer generating an added value for that product. The project was featured at the main exhibition of DMY 2008. |

Eternit fiber cement allows to produce unusal thin-walled forms. This way it is possable to design statically unconventional shapes in concrete. The surfaces of the table are showing materials pure character, while construction avoids heaviness and offers almost keen facileness. In its center a tray is embedded, which is serving as a transport and a presentationplane.
The structure of the table plays with communicative and ergonomic dynamics of a company in confined space. It consists of interlaced planes combining different funktions:

This Wardrobe swings and balances how ever it is packed. A low center of gravity prevents from an overturning and lets the wardrobe dance. Twopronged hooks suit well to the classical coathanger. |

This Cooperation with global supplying company Seaquist Closures was focused on development of entire packaging to offer their customers complete concepts. The whole product was questioned outgoing from its closure.That process of innovation was conducted on all levels from technique to marketing.
Household detergents are often purposive and judged on its efficacy. But its packaging can add to this quality other values and integrates some ritual aspects to the tidying up and cleaning.
By neat storage and clearness of utilization this family is a "toolbox" for all problems.
At POS this product has a clear and tidy presence.
The book-like line-up is space-saving, emphasizes the order and stands as a collection for ultimate solution for every kind of dirtiness.
All closures except the spray work on the same principle and are unlocked by combined pushing and clapping. The 4 bottletypes
cover the essential utilizations and selling units. On the long colored labels all necessary information is placed.
Clarity, lucidity and the multicolored stripes characterize the image of the brand. |

SEAQUIST CLOSURES |

This innovative way of travelling opens the charter-boat area to an ecological minded target group. Boat was dimensioned in dialog with experienced solarboat-engineers. In the end it was possible to drive up to 6miles/hour for 7 hours a day. A special trafficrule about throttled engines enables people to use it without a boatdrivers license. Up to six people can relax on this "raft". They live on two different levels, which are basically connected to each other. Textile walls and flaps can be installed to react easily to changing weather conditions.
In a team of two product designers and an interface designer we checked dimensions in 1:1 models for housing conditions or steering. In sense of a gapless concept different aspects were adjusted autarky and freedom, sustainable materials, energy efficiency, alternative steering and maintenance. |

Mr.O - It‘s a new way of savoring chocloate.
To improve ice, coffee, cake, further more
salads and hearty dishes.
Thin, fine flakes cause an enlargement of
surface, which intensifies the taste on the
tongue. With its high cacao content the
chocolate is a declared condiment and above
all an upvaluation of food by decoration.
A free rotating blade, likewise a vegetable
peeler,is paring down tender flakes at the
inside of the ring. For hygienic causes and
stability the chocolate is framed by paperring.
This project was arranged in cooperation with
confectionery „Felicitas“ from Lausitz. |

The frame of this outdoor chair is made out of two standard hollow rims in common sizes 26” and 28”. The seat is plaited out of yellowgreen powercable wires. The mostly intact seatbelts from old cars are locking a flap mechanism.
This design won 2.price at Recycling-Design-Preis competition, founded by an alliance of recycling centres. Besides material matters, the mainaspect was on implementation by physically and mentally disabled people in youthcenters. |

This open-air for postrock and minimalelectro has taken place inside and around a big pool 5 times by now. That kind of ambient solemn music was given a new room by a centered installation. The closed shape of the stage together with the artists is standing in the middle of water. The audience is experiencing music from outside around the pool. Livematerial straight from stage is projected on a big screen, mixed by visual artists. Visitors can also get inside the stage and take part in an intimate atmosphere.
Every Year I was taking care for shape and construction of stage architecture as well as developing lightconcepts of whole festival areal. |
